In early 2009, I set out on my first adventure as an adult. While in my first semester at Indiana Wesleyan University, I received my calling into full-time missions. That summer I went on my first two missions trips where my calling was confirmed! After returning home, and being denied entrance into some missions organizations for reasons like my age or lacking a degree, I knew that God was calling me to start Ankura Ministries to help others like myself, who are called and have a passion to do big things for the Kingdom!

When I started Ankura Ministries in 2009 I knew right away that I would need a website to help get the message out about the work we were doing. This caused me to go down the road of teaching myself how to do web design. Over the past 10 years I have grown and learned so much and have created numerous websites, as well as teaching myself some branding and graphic design skills along the way!

Over 10 years ago I switched from being a coffee drinker to being a tea drinker. Like most Americans, I started off by drinking tea bags from the grocery store and slowly over time realized that there was a far grander world of tea than the grocery store would lead you to believe. I have grown from tea bags, to loose leaf tea, and have researched and experimented with teas from around the world and ways to steep them with respect to the cultures they derive from. This is a snapshot into my journey in search of True Tea!
